To provide a pivot structure of scissors which improves sharpness by reducing a backlash in a pivot part.
A pivot 26 has a round shaft part 26a and a square shaft part 26b on the same axial line, and the round shaft part 26a includes a tapered part 26a3. In a first blade body 21, there is formed a counter boring hole 23 that includes: a round hole part to which the round shaft part 26a of the pivot 26 is fitted; a square hole part 23e to which the square shaft part of the pivot 26 is fitted and retained; and a tapered part 23c to be engaged with the tapered part 26a3. Meanwhile, in a second blade body 22, there is formed a counter boring hole 24, in which the shaft part 26b of the pivot 26 is rotatably journaled via a bearing 29. The pivot 26 is put through from the side of the first blade body to the second blade body 22, and then a locking screw 27 is threaded from the side of the second blade body to the shaft end of the shaft part 26b of the pivot 26, and thereby connecting the first and second blade bodies 21, 22 to be openable and closable.
