Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make a pivot supporting part of a piston coolable so effectively with a simple structure, by making an air-fuel mixture heading for the piston inside from the inside of a crankcase at a scavenging stroke so as to flow into a vent hole inside the piston. CONSTITUTION:At a scavenging stroke of a two-cycle engine, when a piston 11 goes down through a cylinder hole 7, an air-fuel mixture inside a crankcase 2 passes through a scavenging port 20 and is fed to the side of a combustion chamber 12. At this time, a part of the mixture inside the crankcase 2 passes through a vent notch 24 and a one end side opening 22a of a vent hole 22 and led into the inside of this vent hole 22. This air-fuel mixture cools a piston pin 17 and a needle bearing 18, namely, a pivot supporting part of a piston 11 leading to a connecting rod 16. And, afterward, this mixture passes through another end side opening 22b of the vent hole 22 and a concave part 25, and further it passes through an opening 20a of the scavenging port 20 and is led into the side of the combustion chamber 12.
