Abstract:
To provide a pixel array structure suitable for displaying pictures of high quality with a small number of pixels.
Pixel arrangement 10 includes a pixel group 11 comprising a plurality of pixels 12R, 12G, 12B and divided by pseudo hexagons h. The pixel group 11 is arrayed in a closely packed manner so as to constitute a honeycomb structure with respect to the hexagon h. The pixel 12B is arranged at the center of the pixel group 11, and the pixel 12R, 12G are alternately arranged on each side of the hexagon h around the pixel 12B. Thus, a subgroup of 12R, 12G, 12B respectively constitutes (in a pseudo manner) a delta array, and the component ratio of the pixels 12R and 12G is raised relatively.
