Abstract:
To reduce a cost for a copying device by allowing one CPU to execute control of gray scale adjustment and the control of printing.
A gray scale controller is provided with a reading part 1 for reading the pixel gray scale of an original, an AE control part 3 for sampling appearing degree of each pixel gray scale read by the part 1, a gray scale adjusting part for detecting the background gray scale based on data concerning a generating frequency of the pixel gray scale received from the part 3 and adjusting the pixel gray scale read by the part 1, a printing part 9 for printing, based on the pixel gray scale adjusted by the gray scale adjusting part and a CPU 4 for controlling the gray scale adjusting part and the part 9.
