PURPOSE: To provide an image processing device with which inconspicuous printed matter is obtainable even if misregistration arises at the time of printing.
CONSTITUTION: This image processing device is composed of a storage means 6 for storing original image data, an instructing means 2 for making an instruction to assign nearby image patterns to specify the candidate for substitution for a noticed pixel and an instruction for assigning the color to be processed and a pixel replacement processing section 12 for selecting arbitrary one among the pixels corresponding to the nearby pixels relating to the noticed pixel of the original image data for the colors assigned by the instructing means 2 and executing processing to replace the pixel value of the selected pixel and the pixel value of the noticed pixel.
