Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To express a taper shape by means of a simple functional form, to execute impedance matching and also to improve directivity by providing structure where slot width is extended in a taper-shape and adopting the shape of the taper as the specified function form.
SOLUTION: A planar antenna is provided with a substrate 11, consisting of a dielectric body and a conductor part 12, which is formed on the substrate 11 and is provided with a taper-shaped slot part 13 where the electromagnetic wave is radiated and made to be incident. The taper-shaped slot part 13 is constituted of a curved line part 13b and an opening part 13c. The shape of the taper in the taper-state slot part 13 is expressed by the functional form a/1+ebx+c. In the expression, x indicates the position coordinate in the radial direction of the antenna, and a-c indicate optional constants. By the taper-shape expressed by the function form, a shape where the line width of a slot line is exponentially increased at first and then, changing gently by fixed width is realized.
