Abstract:
PURPOSE: To attain high definition without lowering in luminosity by forming each aperture of a control panel to have a diameter long in the forming direction of any one of address electrodes.
CONSTITUTION: An aperture 9 of a control panel 10 is formed to have a diameter long in the forming direction of any one of X and Y axis address electrodes 8a, 8b disposed separately in a matrix shape on both top and rear surfaces of the control panel 10. This arrangement enables the pitch of apertures 9 to be narrow without lowering luminousity, leading to high definition.
