Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce wear to elongate the duration life of a planar jet nozzle for surface coating, particularly for surface coating of workpieces by high- pressure spraying of liquid.
CONSTITUTION: The inside dome (26) of a planar jet nozzle is not fashioned rotationally-symmetrical, semicircular in the one plane of cross section corresponding to the plane of the nozzle slit, and ogival in the plane perpendicular thereto. The two cross sections, semicircular and ogival, steadily verge into one another around the center axis (M) of the nozzle.
