In a plurality of discharging space, a light having uniform brightness is made to generate by arranging a discharge voltage impression part on the surface of a light source main body including a plurality of flat discharging spaces separated from each other in which a discharge gas is filled and a fluorescent layer is formed on an inner wall. In order to make the light source main body emit much more light, a first discharge voltage impression part is formed on the surface of the light source main body, and a second discharge voltage impression part is formed so as to overlap the first discharge voltage impression part. The strength of the discharge voltage necessary for the light source main body to emit light is lowered and power consumption is sharply reduced by forming the discharge voltage impression part on the surface of the light source main body having the planar discharging space.
