Abstract:
To provide a planar lighting device which is made slim overall to be used preferably as a vanity mirror while inhibiting cost increase.SOLUTION: A planar lighting device 100 includes: lighting parts 7; and a mirror 2 laminated on the lighting parts 7. Each lighting part 7 has: a light guide plate 9 which emits light entering from a side surface to one of two major surfaces; and a single light source 8 which faces the side surface and emits the light entering into the side surface. The mirror 2 has: a mirror part; and translucent part formation areas 12b, each of which transmits the light from the lighting part 7. The single light source 8 and the side surface of the light guide plate 9 are located behind the mirror part when viewed from the mirror 2 side, one of the major surfaces of the light guide plate 9 overlaps with a translucent part when viewed from the mirror 2 side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2B
