Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To balance such characteristics more highly as are required in a planar luminaire and as retained rigidity necessary for narrow framing and thinning.SOLUTION: A frame 16 includes resin frame members 16Ra and 16Rb and a metal frame member 16M, and binds the individual members at a connection part 16J arranged at the end portions of the resin frame members 16Ra and 16Rb and the metal frame member 16M. The arrangement of the resin frame members 16Ra and 16Rb in the frame-shaped frame 16 and the metal frame member 16M is determined by considering the characteristics of the resin and the metal. If the metal frame member 16M is constituted of a sheet metal, no thinning limit is received from the standpoint of formability, as in the resin frame members 16Ra and 16Rb which are obtained by injection-molding or the like of a synthetic resin material. In the individual portions of the frame-shaped frame 16, at a portion required especially for the framing, there is arranged the metal frame member 16M thereby to match the framing requirement. As to the resin frame members 16Ra and 16Rb, on the other hand, the components to be accommodated in the frame can be held stably and ensured by making effective use of the thickness.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
