Title:
PLANAR TRANSFORMER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3274695
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce transmission loss with coupling efficiency increased by providing no magnetic materials between the counter faces of coil patterns of first and second conductor layers.
CONSTITUTION: A first magnetic material layer 1a is formed by coating the surface of a substrate 4 with a magnetic material paste. The first magnetic material layer 1a is overlaid with a second conductor layer 2a with coil patterns. The first magnetic material layer 1a is overlaid with an insulating layer 3 made of an insulating material, which is inlaid with the first conductor layer 2a. The insulating layer 3 is overlaid with a second conductor layer 2b with coil patterns. Further, the insulating layer 3 is coated with a magnetic material paste to make the second conductor layer 2b to inlay. This process enables precise formation of coil patterns by printing wiring technique or the like and reduction of transmission loss with coupling efficiency increased.
