PURPOSE: To minimize the loss of a radio wave absorbing body and to improve the efficiency of the antenna by forming a guide path with a circular conductor plate, forming lots apertures for radiating a radio wave to the conductor plate of the guide path, and setting the thickness of the guide path to a function of a radius with respect to the center of the conductor plate.
CONSTITUTION: First and second conductor plates are located in parallel and their outer circumference parts are connected by a conductor ring 45 to form a single layered conductor path 35. Then the thickness of the 2nd conductor plate 32 is made thin in the center and thick toward the circumference, and the thickness of the guide path 35 is made thin at the circumference. A radio wave fed from a coaxial line 38 is converted into a circular waveguide symmetrical mode by a coaxial waveguide converter 39 and propagated from the center of the guide path 35 toward its circumferential part. Since the center of the guide path 35 is made thick in the propagation of the radio wave, the slot coupling degree is small and the quantity of the radio wave radiation is not so much large in the center. Thus, the radio wave is propagated toward the circumference of the guide path 35 and the aperture distribution is made uniform.
