Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heater having superior heat resistance, heat transfer performance, and temperature distribution uniformity by providing heater layers on one side face or both side faces of a polybenzazole film comprising a polymer having a main constitution unit with specific repetition units and having specific ranges of tensile elastic moduli in the longitudinal direction and in the transverse direction and heat conductivity.
SOLUTION: Repetition units are expressed by a formula I, a formula II, a formula III and/or a formula IV, and in the formulae R is shown by a formula V or the like, or is shown by one kind or two kinds or more of substitution products having an aromatic nucleus substituted with a halogen group, a nitro group, an alkyl group. Tensile elastic moduli in the longitudinal direction and in the transverse direction are 1000 to 4000 kgf/mm2, and heat conductivity is 0.01 to 1.0 W/(K.cm). Preferably, a main constitution unit is repetition units shown by a formula VI. Preferably, limiting viscosity measured by methanesulfonic acid solution of the polybenzazole after polymerization or after film formation is 5 or more, and preferably the thickness of a polybenzazole film is normally 1 to 100 μm.
