PURPOSE: To provide the system for efficiently displaying a plane painting pattern data used for an activated process concerning the plane painting pattern display system for a system provided with plural processes for processing graphics.

CONSTITUTION: The plane painting pattern data are stored in a pattern data storage part 4, management information containing the identification code of a data processing part 1 and the leading address of the plane painting pattern data on the pattern data storage part 4, is stored in a management information storage part 5, when the management information of the data processing part 1 exists in the management information storage part 5, a managing means 6 stores the information at the prescribed position of the management information storage part 5 and when the information is absent, the means 6 loads the plane painting pattern data from an external storage device 3 to the empty area of the pattern data storage part 4, prepares the management information containing the leading address and stores it at the prescribed position. Basing on the management information stored at the prescribed position, a transfer means 7 transfers the plane painting pattern data from the pattern data storage part 4 to the display area of a display memory 2.
