Abstract:

To provide a planetary differential screw type rotation linear motion converting mechanism capable of suppressing increase in shift amount of a sun shaft even when the number of planetary shafts is reduced, and an actuator.

Between an annular shaft 4 and the sun shaft 6 of the planetary differential screw type rotation linear motion converting mechanism 2, non-threaded planetary shafts 10 are arranged together with the arrangement of the planetary shafts 8 within the arrangement. The non-threaded planetary shaft 10 is formed of only a planetary gear, reducing manufacturing cost. Even when the number of the planetary shafts 8 requiring high manufacturing cost is reduced from 9 to 3, the non-threaded planetary shafts 10 can sufficiently suppress increase in the shift amount of the sun shaft 6. Thus, the actuator to which the planetary differential screw type rotation linear motion converting mechanism 2 is incorporated can highly accurately drive a variable valve train, achieve adjustment of valve working angle of an intake valve which is not disadvantageous to energy saving of an internal combustion engine, and prevent deterioration of fuel economy of the internal combustion engine.
