Abstract:
A planetary gear reduction device with a torque limiter function includes a housing (3), an input shaft (5a) rotatably supported by one end of the housing (3) to input a torque, an output shaft (1) rotatably supported by the other end of the housing (3) so as to output a torque, a reduction gear train provided between the input shaft (5a) and the output shaft (1) and constituted of a plurality of gears (4,6,7,8,9) meshing with one another, and a torque limiting mechanism mounted in the reduction gear train. In this device, when an excessive torque is generated in the output shaft, torque transmission from the input shaft (5a) to the output shaft (1) is disconnected by the action of the torque limiting mechanism.
