To suppress the heating at the connecting part of the side surface of a planetary roller and a side plate, and the to prevent the reduction of the power transmitting efficiency, by providing lubricant stays on the side surface of the side plate opposing to the planetary roller, and reducing the friction efficient at the connecting part of the side surface of the planetary roller and the side plate by the lubricant accumulated in the lubricant stays.
In this planetary roller type power transmission, the planetary rollers 2 are rotated and revolved respectively by rotating an input shaft 1, and thereby, a carrier 3 is to be rotated. And, as a means to regulate the movement of the planetary roller 2 in the axial direction, side plates are installed at both side surfaces of a fixed ring 4. In this case, in order to increase the lubricating condition or the friction and abrasion property between the side surface and the side plate 5, plural circular lubricant stays 6 are provided on the side surface of the side plate 5 opposing to the planetary roller 2. The lubricant stays 6 may be the grooves of a radial form, which is opened at the inner circunferential side and the outer peripheral side in the circumferential direction, or not opened to the outer peripheral side in the cirecumferential direction.
