Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce noise and vibration, by forming a planetary roller type power transmitting device by planetary rollers and a ring on an index table. CONSTITUTION:When an index table 2 is rotated, planetary rollers 5 and work holders 6 supported on the index table 2 are revolved around a fixed cylinder 1 at a rotative angle equal to the rotation of the index table 2. As the planetary rollers 5 are in press contact with the fixed cylinder 1 and a ring 4, the rollers 5 rotate the ring 4 by a frictional force or a traction force as they are revolved. The rotation of the planetary rollers 5 is transmitted to the work holders 6 by means of belts 7, thereby moving the work holders 6 and rotating same in synchronization with the rotation of the index table 2.
