This planetary roller type speed reducer 10 has a casing 12, a planetary roller unit 20 formed by installing a plurality of planetary rollers 16 and a sun roller 18 forming an input part in a ring roller 14 integrally formed in the casing 12 in a tight fit state, and a carrier unit 34. The carrier unit 34 is constituted to be rotatably supported by the casing 12 integral with the ring roller 14 in a state of being supported at its opposite ends by an input side carrier bearing 30 and an output side carrier bearing 32.
