Abstract:
To provide a reliable planetary roller type traction drive capable of detecting generation of a minute crack for allowing early response.
The planetary roller type traction drive 1 includes a plurality of planetary rollers 5 arranged around a sun roller 3 to be able to rotate/revolve and a ring roller 7 arranged outside a plurality of the planetary rollers 5 to hold the planetary rollers 5 between the sun roller 3 and itself. The traction drive includes an electric resistance detection device 19 for detecting occurrence of the minute crack in the ring roller 7.
