To provide a planographic printing method requiring no development, substantially forming a printing surface by applying imagewise exposure to an original plate, good in inking properties and reduced in printing staining at the time of printing and capable of repeatedly using the printing original plate, a method for manufacturing the planographic printing method and a planographic printing apparatus capable of making the printing plate on a printing press.
The planographic printing plate is characterized by that a layer of a hydrophilic substance is imagewise applied to a photocatalytic printing original plate having a thin layer of a hydrophilic/oleophilic metal compound on its surface to form an ink repelling region and a region to which no hydrophilic layer is applied is set to an ink receiving region. A printing method using this printing plate but using no damping water, a printing method for initializing the used printing plate by the irradiation with active rays to repeatedly use the same and a planographic printing apparatus using these printing methods are also disclosed.
