To provide a planographic printing plate material and a method for manufacturing a planographic printing plate which can be exposed to a light source of high illuminance such as a laser and an LED, which is excellent in the storage stability with time (especially excellent in the stability under hot and humid conditions) and which is less harmless for the environment.

The planographic printing plate has at least one layer on a supporting body and can be obtained by using the planographic printing plate material containing at least silver halides, silver salt of organic acid, a reducing agent, polyhalogen organic compounds and physical developing nuclei in a single state or a combined state in any layers. Or, the printing plate can be obtained by other means described in the specification.
