Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for crystallization of adipic acid.SOLUTION: An apparatus for crystallization of adipic acid includes a vessel for crystallization comprising means for stirring and means for cooling and/or concentrating an adipic acid solution. Walls of the vessel for crystallization and/or at least a part of walls of the means for cooling and/or concentrating which is in contact with the adipic acid solution, are/is made of a material selected from austenitic stainless steel of AISI 310 L type according to the AISI (USA) nomenclature or X1 CrNi 25-21 (1.4335) type according to the European nomenclature.
