Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant cultivation medium with chips containing ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer which further improves growth efficiency of crop plants, a plant cultivation device and a plant cultivation method using the medium.SOLUTION: There is provided a plant cultivation medium using chips containing ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer, a shape of the chips is columnar, flat or flaky, and arithmetic average roughness of a side surface in columnar chips, a curved surface in a circumferential direction with a shorter direction as a central axis in flat chips, and a principal surface in flaky chips, which is measured in accordance with JIS B0601, is 0.05 μm or more, and also provided a plant cultivation device and a plant cultivation method using the medium.
