Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant design assist system capable of reducing troubles that can occur at a later time in design of instrumentation equipment layout.SOLUTION: The plant design assist system comprises: a storage device including a first database containing three-dimensional information about the arrangement of piping and main apparatuses constituting a plant, a second database containing information on plant control logics and a measurement instrument used in the control logics, and a third database which has stored instrumentation layout rules to be observed when measurement instruments are arranged in the plant; an arithmetic device including a three-dimensional CAD function for performing processing using the three-dimensional information about the arrangement of piping and main apparatuses constituting the plant and a measurement point arrangement function for determining measurement points for the measurement instruments in the plant; and a display device for displaying the content of processing by the arithmetic device. The display device shows the piping and main apparatuses constituting the plant in a three-dimensional form, and shows the measurement instruments at measurement instrument arrangement positions conforming to the instrumentation layout rules stored in the third database.
