CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a knowledge base 21 where diagnostic knowledge and a system diagram ID and a trend graph ID related to each event are preserved, an inference engine 23 which refers to the knowledge base 21 and a process data base 17 to diagnose the abnormality, a route discriminating and related data selecting means 27 which discriminates an event occurrence route to the abnormality in accordance with the diagnosis result and selects the trend graph ID and the system diagram to be displayed, a history data base 19 which collects process data corresponding to each trend graph ID to preserve the history, a guidance data base 29 where guidance messages are preserved, a system diagram data base 31 where system diagram information is preserved, and a display control means 35 which takes out display information from data bases based on discrimination and selection results to display it on a display device 33.
