Abstract:
To provide a plant reduced in environmental load, and a production method of glass and hydrogen.SOLUTION: A plant 1 producing glass and hydrogen has a glass melting furnace 2 melting glass raw material by combustion heat of fuel, and forming molten glass 12, an exhaust gas passage 3 extending from the glass melting furnace and making exhaust gas generated in the glass melting furnace pass therethrough, a boiler 5 provided in the exhaust gas passage, and exchanging heat from the exhaust gas with water to generate steam, and an electrolytic device 4 forming hydrogen and oxygen by electrolysis of the steam. The glass melting furnace has a burner 14 burning the fuel together with combustion supporting gas with oxygen concentration of 21 vol.% or more. The burner is connected to the electrolytic device through an oxygen supply pipe 18. Oxygen formed in the electrolytic device is supplied to the burner via an oxygen supply pipe.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
