Abstract:
To provide a plant quality-improving agent excellent in solubility and also excellent in controlling insect pests and promoting the growth of the plants, and a method for producing the same.
This plant quality-improving agent containing a hot water extract of sea weeds belonging to the genus Eucheuma and/or Ceramium of Florideae is characterized by containing the sea weed extract prepared by adjusting the temperature of the hot water extract in 85C and vaporizing/evaporating unnecessary water in the extract. Also, the hot water extract may be an extract prepared by a process comprising adding an organic acid.
