Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant raising device capable of realizing a widely usable light environment suitable for various kinds of plant with a simple constitution and excellent electric efficiency and lowering a cost.
SOLUTION: This plant raising device has an artificial light source 31 artificially controllable a light environment having a metal halide lamp 34 having a relative spectral distribution enriched with a blue light and a high pressure sodium lamp 44 having a relative spectral distribution enriched with a red light, and both of the lamps 34 and 44 are provided in an alternatively arranged matrix-like for respective irradiating light being irradiated to the plant in a mixed state.
