To provide a vessel by which a plant can sufficiently absorb a fertilizer by using reed pulp as a main raw material.
A reed cut into suitable size, for example, is heated in steam at 25°C for 2.5 hours under high pressure so that the reed pulp can be extracted. Next, with the reed pulp of 99wt.% and water permeabile additive agent of 1wt.%, a plant raising vessel A with thickness of 1mm, diameter of the base of 60mm, diameter of opening on the upper surface of 80mm and height of 80mm is produced. Soil 6 and fertilizer 8 are put into the plant raising vessel A while being mixed in the ratio of 1:1, the seedling of plant 5 is transplanted and, in such a state, the vessel is buried in a hole 10 dug for the depth of 100mm under a surface 9 of the ground so that the plant can sufficiently absorb the fertilizer while preventing the fertilizer from being dissolved and dispersed in the soil for a fixed period until the vessel is decomposed and eliminated.
