To provide a plasma display device including a new scanning electrode drive circuit configured to reduce an output impedance by a small number of separation switches.
The scanning electrode drive circuit 43 includes a sustain pulse generation circuit 52 for generating a sustain pulse to be applied to a scanning electrode. The sustain pulse generation circuit 52 includes a first clamp switch Q71 for clamping an output at a high-voltage-side voltage Vsus of a sustain power source for generating the sustain pulse; a first backflow prevention diode D72 connected to the first clamp switch Q71 in series; a second clamp switch Q74 for clamping the output at the low-voltage-side voltage 0(V) of the sustain power source; a second backflow prevention diode D73 connected to the second clamp switch Q74 in series; and the separation switch Q75 for connecting the first clamp switch Q71 and the second clamp switch Q74.
