Abstract:
To improve a blue point and a color contrast.
The plasma display is equipped with a phosphor layer composed of a phosphor selected from the group consisting of doped europium(II)-activated barium magnesium aluminates represented by the following general formulae, Ba1-xMxMgAl10O17-0.5x: Eu (wherein 0<x≤0.5; and M=Li, Na, K, Rb or Cs), BaMg1-yMyAl10O17-0.5y: Eu (wherein 0<y≤0.5; and M=Li, Na, K, Rb or Cs), and BaMgAl10-zNzO17-0.5z: Eu (wherein 0<z≤5.0; and N=Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba or Zn). Specific phosphors represented by the general formulae are also provided.
