Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a PDP(plasma display panel) capable of displaying an image with a high quality by delivering a technology to easily control a rising of an end portion of a barrier wall in PDP.
SOLUTION: For a barrier wall 30 in PDP, a sub barrier wall 32 extending in an orthogonal direction toward an extending direction of the main barrier wall 31 from each end portion of plural main barrier walls 31 is formed and the end portion of the main barrier wall is formed wider than the central portion (portion except the end portion). When forming the barrier wall of PDP, the end portion of the barrier wall after baking is treated locally with heating at the temperature of more than softening point of the barrier wall material. As a concrete method for heating locally the end portion of the barrier wall, a method of irradiating laser beam on the end of the barrier wall is superior.
