Abstract:
To improve plasma stability.SOLUTION: A plasma generator comprises: a straight rod-shaped graphite plasma torch 10; a torch holder 12 which holds the plasma torch 10 in such a manner that the plasma torch 10 inclines at a predetermined angle with respect to the vertical axis; and supply means (an operation gas source, a pipe, and a valve) which supply the plasma torch 10 with operation gas for generating plasma. The plasma torch 10 has a through-hole H provided so as to extend along the longitudinal direction, which functions as a passage of the operation gas supplied by the supply means. A tip T of the plasma torch 10 has a tapered shape. When viewed in the center axis direction of the plasma torch 10, a lowest portion LP of the plasma torch 10 is located in the vicinity of the peripheral edge of the through-hole H.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
