Title:
PLASMA MELTING FURNACE AND MELTING METHOD OF MOLTEN ARTICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3280227
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the presence of an imperfect molten article which exists in molten slag and provide high quality and uniform granulated slag by forming a melting furnace in a reducing atmosphere with an emission gas or the like emitted from an inactive supply gas nozzle and producing the flow of molten slag on a front surface of the molten slag toward the central part of a furnace main body.
SOLUTION: A molten article A, which is supplied into a furnace main body 3 is heated over a temperature which exceeds the melting point with thermal energy produced by plasma arc discharge and is turned into molten slag B in a high temperature liquid-like state. Since inactive gas (nitrogen gas) of 4.0 to 5.0/kg of a molten article (ash) is supplied from an inactive gas supply nozzle, the other vortex flow is produced on the front layer of the molten slag B by the flow of the inactive gas emitted. As this result, the vortex flow generated with the spray of this inactive gas pushes up the imperfect molten article into the central direction of the furnace and inwardly of the front surface layer, thereby extending in-furnace residual time and receiving the new heat and creating a perfect molten state.
