Abstract:
To provide a plasma reactor for an exhaust gas having high PM removal effect while suppressing power consumption.SOLUTION: A plasma reactor 1 includes a number of negative electrode discharge panels 4 and positive electrode discharge panels 5 arranged in parallel through discharge gaps 6, negative electrodes 8 are buried in the negative electrode discharge panels 4, and positive electrodes 9 are buried in the positive electrode discharge panels 5. The positive electrodes 9 are wider than the negative electrodes 8, and provided with front protruding portions 9a projecting forward with respect to the negative electrodes 8 in a flowing direction of an exhaust gas. As the electric current released from the negative electrodes 8 spreads to the front protruding portion 9a of the positive electrodes 9, a discharge area (plasma generation area) can be increased without widening a width dimension W1 of the negative electrodes 8. Accordingly, PM removal effect can be improved while suppressing power consumption.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
