Abstract:

PURPOSE: To generate a uniformly and regularly treated stable plasma torch.
CONSTITUTION: The plasma spray apparatus for spraying powdery material is composed of a cathode part 1 having at least three cathode members evenly distributed along a circle around the central longitudinal axis of the plasma-tron, an annular anode member located distantly from the cathode member 1 and a plasma channel 4 extending from the cathode part 1 to the anode member and is provided with a primary edge part close to the cathode part 1 as well as a secondary edge part close the anode member. The plasma channel 4 is delimited by the annular anode member as well as by a plurality of annular neutrode members which are electrically insulated from each other, and the structure for feeding the powdery material into the plasma torch PS are located close to the secondary edge part or the plasma channel 4.
