Title:
PLASMA SPRAYING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02277761
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simplify the structure of a spray gun by converting compressed air into plasma gas and spraying a molten metal obtd. by melting a metal wire for spraying on a base material.
CONSTITUTION: A hafnium electrode is used as a nonconsumable electrode 3. A metal wire 7 for spraying is used as other electrode. Plasma arc 17 is generated between both the electrodes 3, 7. Compressed air 21 is fed and converted into plasma gas 18. A molten metal 19 obtd. by melting the metal wire 7 is sprayed on a base material 20. Compressed air is allowed to flow around the plasma arc. The running cost of spraying is reduced.
