Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make it possible to effectively sterilize a material contained in a vessel without damaging its quality under a low pressure and at a low temperature, by carrying out a pulse-liek treatment for the material placed in a sterilizing chamber with a gaseous bactericide and a cycle of a plasma treatment after removing the bactericidal material.
CONSTITUTION: The pulse-like treatment using a gaseous bactericide includes a pulse-vacuum cycle, and each pulse-like vacuum cycle includes a step to discharge air in a sterilizing chamber 4 and a stp to expose a material to the gaseous bactericide forma certain period. The bactericide is removed by discharging air in the sterilizing chamber 4 after the pulse-like treatment by a bactericide removing process. In addition, a plasma produced from gas consisting of argon, helium, nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen and a mixture of them is generated and supplied to sterilize the material in the sterilizing chamber 4. Here, the bactericide is hydrogen peroxide, bactericidal peroxide or a mixture of them, and bactericidal peroxide is paraalcanoic acid.
