To provide a fluidized bed reactor which suppresses production of exhaust gases and heightens reaction performance and thermal efficiency and in which an oxidizing or reducing atmosphere can be easily attained.
A straightening plate 2 is provided in the inside of a reactor container 1. Processed granular materials 20 are mounted on the plate 2 and retained as a fluidized bed in a fluidized bed reactor by introducing fluidizing gases from the lower side thereof. In this reactor, plasma producing gases is introduced into the inside of an electrical insulating tube 6 around which a high frequency induction coil 8 is wound. A high frequency induction plasma generating device 3 in which high frequency current flows through the high frequency induction coil 8 to generate plasma gases from the plasma producing gases is provided on the fluidized gas distillation side of the plate 2. Plasma gases generated in the device 3 are used as fluidizing gases to process the materials 20.
