The bottle body 2 of the plastic bottle is blow-formed and had a bottom, a barrel 4 comprising four side walls 4a-4d standing up from the outer periphery of the bottom, a shoulder whose diameter is gradually decreasing upward from the top end of the barrel 4 and a mouth/neck part standing up cylindrically from the top end of the shoulder. At least each outline of two side walls 4a, 4b adjoined with one corner 4e between forms an outward arc and one side wall 4a is constituted with a face whose curvature is larger than that of the other side wall 4b relative to the horizontal cross section of the barrel 4.
