To provide a cap which has a low cap height even with resealability and tamper-evidence, is excellent in productivity without the need of secondary machining though an engaging protrusion of a corresponding container mouth can be made in a single stage, and can be effectively prevented from breaking at a weakened part when molded.
A plastic cap comprises a resealing upper lid 4 applied to the container mouth having outwardly protruding protrusions and consisting of a top plate 2 and a skirt 3 hanging from the top plate 2, and a tamper-evident band 7 integrally molded with the lower end 5 of the skirt 3 of the resealing upper lid via a breakable weak part 6. A resealing projection 11 located inside the band 7, hanging from the lower end 5 of the skirt and having an inwardly protruding protrusion on the lower part is formed at the lower end of the skirt, and an engaging projection 15 protruding inward is formed on the internal surface of the band 7. The resealing projection 11 and the engaging projection 15 engage with the protrusions of the same container mouth.
