To increase sealing ability of a seal part and to improve thermal responsiveness by a method wherein a given range on one end side of a plastic heat pipe is formed of a metallic material.
For example, a pipe 6 made of copper is inserted in the opening parts of the two tip parts of a plastic pipe 5, forming the body part of a container 4, of a plastic heat pipe 3. The pipe 6 made of copper is formed approximately in the same outside diameter as the inside diameter of the plastic pipe 5, the given range of the outer periphery of the pipe 6 made of copper is adhered in an airtight state to the inner periphery thereof by a means, such as an adhesive, and the tip opening part of the pipe 6 made of copper is closed in an airtight manner. A wick 7 to promote reflux of working fluid by a capillary tube pressure is arranged on the inner peripheral surface of the container 4. By using a so constituted plastic heat pipe 3, imparting and receiving of heat is effected by the pipes 6 made of copper at the two end arts thereof, whereby thermal conductivity is improved.
