Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a high-quality hard coat film without causing its peeling or whitening and without causing the crack of a plastic lens substrate.
SOLUTION: This process for forming a hard coat film on the surface of a plastic lens comprises the cleaning step wherein the surface of a plastic lens substrate is cleaned, the coating step wherein the surface is coated with a hard coat soln. comprising an ultraviolet-curable resin compsn. and a solvent, the drying step wherein the coated substrate is put into a drying oven to evaporate the solvent, and the ultraviolet irradiation step wherein the substrate is irradiated with ultraviolet rays in an ultraviolet irradiation oven 21 to cure the resin compsn.
