PURPOSE: To contrive the prevention of a sheet blank from softening and whitening when a container is filled with its contents having a high temperature by providing the sheet blank having a biaxially stretched polyester layer on its inner surface and the thermoplastic resin injection molded on the outside of the sheet blank.

CONSTITUTION: A container 14 consists of a body part 14a, a bottom part 14b and a flange part 15. The body part 14a and the bottom part 14b consist of the sheet blank 26 having a gas-barrier, biaxially stretched polyester layer on the inner surface thereof and the thermoplastic resin 28 injection molded on the outside of the sheet blank 26 and the flange part 15 consists of the thermoplastic resin 28. When the container 14 is filled with its contents 16 having a high temperature, the contents 16 make contact with the inner surface of the container 14. However, since the inner surface of the container 14 is made up of the side of the sheet blank 26 having a biaxially stretched, outstandingly heat resisting polyethylene terephthalate layer, the sheet blank 26 is free from thermal deformation. Since this layer is also not liable to whitening due to crystallization, the prevention of the entire container body 14 as well as the sheet blank 26 from becoming opaque can be ensured.
