To provide a plastic selecting apparatus by which plastic pieces can be accurately selected on every kind by a lower electric voltage than before.

A drum electrode 2 which carries electrically charged plastic pieces 3 and makes them fall down, the first A facing electrode 5 and the first B facing electrode 6 facing each other placing the plastic pieces 3 carried to the drum electrode 2 between them, the second facing electrode 7 and a separator 12 facing to a falling passage B for the plastic pieces separated and falling from the drum electrode 2, a power source device 8 which applies high electric voltage to the drum electrode 2 and the first A, the first B and the second facing electrodes 5, 6 and 7 and forms static electric fields R1 and R2 for separation between the drum electrode 2 and the first A and the first B facing electrodes 5 and 6 and forms a static electric field S in the falling passage B, and containers 9 and 10 for separation arranged in accordance with the material of the plastic pieces 3 to be separated, are provided. It is possible by this constitution that the plastic pieces 3 can be selected on every kind with high recovery and high purity by a lower electric voltage than before.
