To provide a plastic separating device which can separate plastic pieces charged to polarity repelling a drum electrode sufficiently for from the drum electrode, and thereby can certainly improve separation accuracy.

The plastic sorting device is provided with the drum electrode 6 for carrying the plastic pieces 2 and a counter electrode 8 for forming an electrostatic field for sorting between the drum electrode 6 and themselves. The counter electrode 8 is constituted of a metallic belt 21 rotating-driven in a carrying direction of the plastic pieces 2 and a circular arc-shaped counter electrode section 26 is formed at an upstream side of the carrying direction of the metallic belt 21. Further a first clearance section 28 having a prescribed repellent angle for repelling the plastic pieces 2 repelled by the drum electrode 6 in a recovering direction and a second clearance section 29 for carrying the plastic pieces 2 sucked to the metallic belt 21 are formed at a downstream side.
