To provide a plastic shopping bag holder for supporting a plurality of plastic shopping bags and for maintaining or improving workability in storing an item in the bag and a cash counter having the holder.
This plastic shopping bag holder 5 is provided with a pair of handle hanging rods 40A to be inserted in a hanging hole P2 formed in the two handle parts P1 of the bag P for hanging. The rods 40A are provided extendingly with a mutually suitable distance apart in the horizontal direction on a mounting member 8. Each rod 40A comprises a base end side support 42 on the mounting member 8 side, an extending part 44 extending toward a lower position from the part 42 mutually increasing a distance in the horizontal direction and a tip end side support part 46 for supporting the bag P at a height for the bottom P5 of the bag to contact a face to contact such as a table face in a condition where the bag P is opened at the tip end side of the part 44.
