Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a working method which can integrally form a boss part having arbitrary internal and external diameter dimensions at a disk-shaped work.
SOLUTION: While the disk-shaped work W is rotationally driven, the flat plate part of the work W is subjected to rotary material shifting and spinning by a forming roller 4, by which a cylindrical projecting part B is integrally formed. The working conditions of this time are as follows: (1) The advancing depth (h) of the forming roller 4 be 0.1 to 0.5t. (2) The external diameter(d) after forming of the boss part B be 0.25 to 0.94D (D: forming start diameter). (3) The thickness T of the boss part B be 0.5 to 7h. (4) The volume of the boss part B be 0.029 to 0.234πD2h.
